Admissions Appointments

Academic In-Person Open House
Experience all Genesee has to offer. A full campus tour is available, including the opportunity to tour College Village. In addition, representatives from our Academic and Student Services Departments are on hand to answer all of your questions about admissions, financial aid, transfer services, student activities, athletics and more.
In-Person Campus Tour/Self-Guided Tour
Can’t find an event that fits into your busy schedule? Not a problem. To arrange a visit call the Admissions Office toll free at 585-345-6800 or register online through our Campus Tour Registration. GCC also offers a unique opportunity to view campus at your own pace and on your own schedule with our self-guided tours. Stop into the admissions office to ask for one of our over 50 smart tablets.
Information Sessions and Campus Tours
(In-Person and Virtual)
Attend an information session led by an admissions counselor. The information session will highlight GCC’s programs and services, details about the enrollment process, and provide time to answer your questions.
Nursing Information Sessions
In order to apply for either the traditional or Advanced Placement (LPN to RN) Nursing Programs at GCC, please attend a mandatory Nursing Information Session.

Veterinary Technology Information Sessions
To find out if Genesee’s Veterinary Technology program is right for you, please attend an information session.
Preparing for your Visit
To assist you as you prepare for your visit to Genesee, we are happy to provide you with some helpful information, including driving directions and information about our community.
Class Visits
Class visits are available during the fall and spring semesters. If you are interested in visiting one of GCC’s many classes, we would be happy to make arrangements for you. Class visits are available Monday through Friday during the fall and spring semesters. Please email the Office of Admissions at least one week in advance.
Group Visits
Interested in bringing a group of students to campus for a visit? We welcome larger groups, but ask that you arrange your visit in advance so that we can best meet your needs. Visits are available Monday through Friday. To schedule your visit, complete the Group Visit Form and an Admissions Representative will be in contact with you to help organize your day.
Please note that 1 adult chaperone is required for every 10 students in a group. Thank you.
Major Exploration Days
Please join us on this unique exploratory campus tour! Whether you have a career path in mind or remain undecided, this program will allow one to “experience” several degree programs. On this 1 1/2 hour walk, there will be brief “tour stops” at our state of the art labs and classrooms where you can gain valuable information such as:
- View short micro-demonstrations
- Participate in an experiments
- Hear short and sweet talks from professors
- Explore technologies
Instant Admission Event
Join an admissions counselor for a workshop where we will walk you through the online GCC application. Registration is optional. Walk-ins are welcome.
Respiratory Care Information Sessions
Before enrolling in the Respiratory Care program, prospective students are highly encouraged to attend an information session.
Physical Therapist Assistant Information Sessions
Before enrolling in the PTA program, prospective students are highly encouraged to attend an information session to learn about the exciting and rewarding field of physical therapy. To sign up for a Physical Therapis Assistant Information Session, please call Pam Reed: (585) 343-0055 ext. 6402.
